“On Monday March 15 at Shannons Cheltenham showrooms located at 321 Warrigal Road, three black and white numeric plates ‘171’, ‘172’ and ‘173’ are going under the hammer in consecutive lots – this is the first time since 1998 three consecutive numeric plates have gone to auction

The last time 3 consecutive number plates (number 14, 15 and 16) went to auction the fetched on average $75,000 apiece. Today, just 12 years later, they could be expected to bring $400,000-$500,000 if again offered for sale.

Shannons expect 171, 172 and 173 to sell in the range of $95,000-$110,000 each.”
