At the time of posting this historic plate was for sale for $25,000.
The plate was previously spotted on a Mercedes E Class Coupe. A photo was posted on the Aussie Exotics forum with the following comment:
“Spotted this today, spoke to the owner (in his 70’s) who said his grandfather had it back in the 1930’s. So the story goes… he used to have 124645 or something like that, and he helped out the motor reg for some reason, and as a gift in return, they lopped off the numbers either side and gave him 464.”
